Calvary Church and resolution

For resolution, this is what I believe the Holy Spirit wants me to say to the Calvary Church leadership:

1. “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. … .” — Matthew 6:24

Dethrone the idol and submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ alone. The idol is yourself or your leader/mentor or your “success formula” or your ways of doing things, or how you appear to others and, particularly, the greatness of your church. These have blinded you from hearing what God is saying to you. Prove your allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ by not insisting on conformity to your ways. Loosen up your ways so that different types of people can fit in. “Your ways” are not the only ways of Christ. Calvary Church is not the Body of Christ but only a part of the whole and should behave accordingly.

“’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22: 37-38 … 

2. … “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” — Matthew 22: 39-40

The leaders need to set the example of cultivating a work and lifestyle culture which nurtures healthy inter-personal relationships. When they do it, others will follow. They must relate not according to what is expected of them — according to their roles as leaders — but, as Jesus would, compelled by a heart redeemed by the love of Him. They will then relate from a position of strength, secure in their confidence in Him. Others would do the same.

3. “You save the humble, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low.” — 2 Samuel 22: 28

There is a need for the leadership to be found humbly at the Lord’s altar publicly. They need to stand before Him contrite in spirit, stripped of “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life” because these don’t come from the Father but from the world (I John 2:16).  A refreshing new work will begin in and for them and through them for others at the altar.

The leaders must respond not because I or someone else says it but because they know without a shadow of doubt that it is the Holy Spirit who is convicting. If they respond to His prompting, resolution will follow swiftly and everything will fall into place and our Lord Jesus will lead Calvary Church in the direction He wants to, and the leaders will know it.

Now, let me say to you what you have always prayed for us: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” — Ephesians 3: 20-21

I have been honest before God and before men and women. I have written everything that I believe the Holy Spirit has laid in my heart to say. This has been the constant prompting since two years ago: “Speak what is in your heart.” I have done accordingly — with no intent for malice. I have not held back. Proverbs 24:26 says “an honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.” I have shared honestly to bless, not to damn, in obedience to the Holy Spirit as my allegiance is to our Lord and no one else.

I don’t know what I am going to write next. As the Holy Spirit leads, I’ll write and continue to upload something every Friday. Do continue to visit this website. God bless you all!
