A forum worth attending

If you or anyone you know is free tomorrow, you might want to attend the Truth Matters Forum & Policy Dialogue at PAUM (Persatuan Alumni Universiti Malaya) House. Themed “Whither freedom without truths in Malaysia”, it will discuss intellectual freedom and there would be a forum/dialogue on five policy questions.

The speakers are UM’s law faculty associate professor Dr Azmi Sharom, former Malaysian ambassador Datuk Redzuan Kushairi, , UCSI’s associate professor Dr Mohd Tajuddin Rasdi, UM economics professor Dr Edmund Terence Gomez and NUS associate professor of economics Dr Lee Kwok Aun. The speakers are well respected in their fields and they will bring much knowledge and experience to the discussion and I think it would be good exposure to those who are interested in politics, public policy and government.

It’s especially suited to young people who want to know the truth about Malaysian politics and the current issues in public discourse. It isn’t expensive; the fee is RM50 per person and if you can’t attend you can easily sponsor one or more to attend.

These kinds of forums are helpful in generating interest in the issues confronting nation-building and will provide people with information that they may not get elsewhere, information which will be essential to help them make informed decisions.

The forum will be held tomorrow, Nov 25, from 3-6pm. For further details please contact +60128455008
